It was finally time!
We have spent the last few years traveling back and forth between our producers farms in Colombia and our lab in Washington DC. As much as we love traveling, we felt it was time to set up shop in Colombia to be able to run a smoother and more efficient operation. In March of 2016, we set up a laboratory built to SCAA standards, in the beautiful and bustling city of Medellin. Our lab is conveniently attached to a three bedroom, three and a half bathroom apartment that overlooks the city and the majestic Andes mountains. Our vision is to open the doors of our laboratory to our clients, being able to host at origin and cup our farm-direct coffees in the convenience of our home.
What does this mean to you, our clients?
This means that you, our client, can come down to origin, cup coffees in the comfort of “your” home, in a professional and fully equipped coffee laboratory, and visit our producing partners at the farm. We believe coffee is all about friendships. The best friendships are those that are built on trust, transparency, and are mutually beneficial. You should know where your coffee comes from and the producer should know where their coffee is going. Join us at origin and come meet the hard working farmers who are excited to be working with you!
